HelioFix Privacy Policy

Effective October 2026

HelioFix is published by Douglas Knowles ("I", "me"). This policy explains how the HelioFix app for iPhone and iPad handles your information.

The short version: HelioFix does not collect any personal data. I don't receive, store, sell, or share your information.

Location. With your permission, HelioFix uses your device's location to show the sun's position where you are, and to align the augmented reality view with true north. Your location is processed on your device and is never sent to me.

Camera. The augmented reality view uses your camera to draw the sun's path over the live picture. Nothing is recorded, saved, or sent anywhere.

Your places and notes. Places you save, and the labels and notes you add to the map, are stored only on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.

Apple services. Place search, address lookup, and maps are provided by Apple Maps. When you search for a place or view a map, your device sends the request to Apple, and Apple's privacy policy (apple.com/legal/privacy) applies. I don't receive that information.

No tracking, analytics, or ads. HelioFix contains no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party code that collects data.

Crash reports. If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may give me anonymous crash reports. They don't identify you.

Children. HelioFix doesn't collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes. If this policy changes, I'll update this page and the date above.
