HelioFix shows where the sun will be at any place, on any day of the year: on a map, in tables, and in your sky with augmented reality.

Common questions

Why doesn't my current location appear?

HelioFix needs location permission to show where you are. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > HelioFix and choose "While Using the App." Saved places work without location permission.

Why is Augmented Reality available only for my current location?

The AR view draws the sun's path over what your camera sees, so it has to be where you're standing. For other places, use the sun path map and the tables.

The AR path looks rotated or off.

AR depends on your device's compass. Move away from metal and electronics, then wave the device in a figure-eight to recalibrate. Check the N, E, S, and W markers against a known direction.

The camera view is black.

Allow camera access in Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera > HelioFix.

Does HelioFix work offline?

Sun calculations do. Searching for places and loading maps need an internet connection.
